Privacy Policy

The short version: Eve Nexus stores everything locally on your machine. We do not run servers that hold your personal data. Optional anonymous analytics can be enabled or disabled at any time in the app.

1. Who we are

Eve Nexus is an open source desktop application maintained by the Eve Nexus Project. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at contact@eve-nexus.app.

2. Data stored locally on your device

All application data is stored in a SQLite database on your own machine. This includes:

Production plans and build targets you create
Blueprint overrides, structure profiles, and market hub configuration
Cached market prices and system cost indices fetched from the EVE ESI API
EVE character IDs and names linked via EVE SSO
ESI access and refresh tokens, stored in your operating system's keychain

None of this data is transmitted to our servers. Uninstalling the app and choosing to remove app data during uninstall permanently deletes it.

3. EVE Online SSO and ESI

Eve Nexus uses CCP's EVE Online Single Sign-On (SSO) to authenticate characters. When you log in, we request the following ESI scopes to power the app's features:

Character blueprints and industry jobs
Character and corporation assets (for structure detection)
Character skills

Authentication is handled entirely by CCP's servers. We never see or store your EVE Online password. Access tokens are stored locally in your OS keychain and are used only to make requests to CCP's ESI on your behalf. CCP's own privacy policy governs how they handle your account data.

4. Analytics (optional)

The app includes optional, anonymous usage analytics powered by a self-hosted instance of Plausible CE. Analytics are opt-in only and are presented during first launch. You can change your preference at any time in Settings.

If you opt in, the following is sent to our analytics server when you launch the app:

A randomly generated anonymous device identifier (not linked to your identity)
The app version

No personal data, no IP address logging, no cookies, and no cross-site tracking. If you opt out, nothing is sent. Plausible CE is self-hosted by us and data does not leave our infrastructure.

This website also uses Plausible for anonymous page view statistics under the same privacy-preserving conditions. No consent is required for the website as no cookies or personal data are collected.

5. Affiliate links

This website contains affiliate links to Markee Dragon Game Codes and the EVE Online Recruit a Friend program. Clicking these links takes you to third-party websites governed by their own privacy policies. We do not share any personal data with these services, and they do not share user data with us.

6. Your rights

Because we do not store personal data on our servers, most data subject rights (access, portability, erasure) are satisfied by the data living on your own machine. You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app and choosing to remove app data when prompted.
